Celebrate the festive season with family and friends at Christmas Wonderland! This magical lighting display is back and on a much grander scale, treating visitors to a wonderland of glittering lights, illuminated trees, animated displays, light tunnels and projections that will mesmerize and delight.

Each night from 6.00 pm, enjoy Christmas stalls, delicious fare and live entertainment for the whole family. Grab a bite to eat and look out for the roving carollers, along with Santa and his Christmas friends as they spread festive cheer.

Don’t forget, entry into Christmas Wonderland is free and you can attend as many nights as you like. On busy nights, some entry delays may be experienced.

Parking and Road Closure Information

Coming along to Christmas Wonderland? Here is some further information in relation to transport, parking and road closures.

Event Location

Christmas Wonderland is located within Nerima Gardens, Queens Park Ipswich. The street address is Goleby Avenue, Ipswich.

Public Transport

The Ipswich Train Station is a 20 minute walk to Nerima Gardens. Please be aware the walk to Nerima Gardens is mostly uphill. A taxi rank is accessible out the front of the Train Station.

Accessible and Bus Parking

Limited accessible parking is available to Disabled Permit holders, in the car park off Burley Griffin drive (via Griffith Rd), as well as limited bus parking. Drop off zones are available, see Drop Off Zone section below.

Road Closures

To ensure public safety at the event, Road Closures will be in place as per the map below, until the event concludes on Sunday 22 December.

Drop Off Zone

With the large crowds expected to attend the event please be aware that visitors may have to park up to a few blocks away and walk. Those with mobility issues can be dropped off via the Burley Griffin Drive car park (off Griffith Road). This is the closest access point to the Nerima Gardens entry.

Best Parking Locations

As the Burley Griffin Drive car park is expected to fill early, parking will be also be available in the surrounding areas:

  • Limestone Park car park via Griffith Road
  • On street parking Griffith Road, Goleby Avenue, Milford Street, Chermside road
  • Further parking is also available within Limestone Park (off Quarry Street) a 10-15 minute walk
  • All other surrounding streets also offer parking
